Dulux Single Packed Corrosion Resistant DTM Coating is an advance technology, premium quality direct to metal, low VOC alkyd gloss enamel.
USAGE
For use on properly primed surfaces or rusted surfaces with minimum degree of cleaning i.e. St3/SP3 type of preparation. It is ideal for interior and exterior structural steel, piping, tankage, rail cars, metal doors, handrails and other work in non-chemical or non-immersion service.

THINNING

Add up to 1 part of DTM Thinner to 3 parts of paint (30%).
Add up to 1 part of DTM Thinner to 10 parts of paint (10%).
Ready for use. Thinning is not usually necessary.

Satisfactory through most equipment.

Airless Spray
|
A typical set up for airless spray application is a minimum working pressure on paint of 3000 psi with a spray tip size 0.015" - 0.019".

SPREADING RATES
|
A guide to the practical coverage which can be achieved under normal conditions is at 7m²/t. Make allowance for any losses due to overspray or surface irregularities.

PRE - APPLICATION
|
SURFACE PREPARATION
|
Surfaces must be sound, clean, dry and free from all defective or poorly adhering material, dirt, grease or wax and be thoroughly rubbed down using a suitable abrasive paper and dusted off. If after thorough preparation, surfaces remain powdery, seal with one coat of an appropriate Primer (see below).

NEW SURFACES Steel

Manually prepared by power or hand tool to BS7079 Part A1: 1989 St3.
|
PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACES
|
Wash to remove contaminants. Rinse thoroughly with water and allow to dry. Dull glossy areas by light sanding. Remove loose paint.

FLAMMABLE
Harmful by inhalation, in contact with skin and if swallowed.
Irritating to skin.
Harmful to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment.
Contains: ETHYL METHYL KETOXIME, COBALT CARBOXYLATE. May produce an allergic reaction.
Avoid contact with skin/eyes.
In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label where possible).
To remove splashes of paint from skin, use soap and water or a recognised cleanser.
If swallowed seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label.
Keep away from food, drinks, animal feed and out of the reach of children.
Keep away from combustible material.
Container must be stored in a cool and shaded place.
It must be tightly closed in a secure, upright position.
Work in a well-ventilated area and do not breathe in vapour or spray.
When applying paint, wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/ face protection.
In case of fire use foam, dry powder, AFFF, CO2 - Never use water.
In case of a spillage, contain and collect spillage using sand or earth and do not empty into watercourses, drains or the environment.
Dispose of any paint waste in accordance with the appropriate Environmental Quality Regulations.
