FILM PROPERTIES
Chemical Resistance
Heat Resistance
Water Resistance
|
Resistant to mild chemical fume attack but where there is heavy attack, e.g. actual contact with chemicals, a specialist paint system may be required. Also resistant to splashing with motor oil, vegetable oils, concentrated acids and alkalis. They are not resistant to aromatic solvents.
Not recommended for use on heated surfaces above 65°C.
Not suitable for the interior (immersed) surfaces of swimming pools or for surfaces which are in contact with drinking water. Excellent resistance to high level of moisture i.e. heavy condensation and can withstand frequent washing down but will not tolerate damp substrates. When used on masonry, the surface must incorporate on effective damp proof membrane.

THEORECTICAL COVERAGE
|
A guide to the theoretical coverage which can be achieved under normal conditions is 10 - 17.5 m²/L. When applying by spray, losses due to overspray can be heavy on narrow sections.

SURFACE PREPARATION
|
Surfaces generally must be clean, dry, free from all defective or poorly adhering material, dirt, grease, wax etc. All surfaces should be thoroughly rubbed down using a suitable abrasive paper and then dusted off. For large exterior area, high pressure (1500 psi) water jetting is recommended.
