FILM PROPERTIES
Water Resistance
|
Resistant to mild chemical fume attack but where there is heavy attack, e.g. actual contact with chemicals, specialist paint systems will be required.
Generally resistant to heat up to 90°C, but some discolouration of light colours may occur at temperatures above 80°C.
Resistant to the levels of atmospheric humidity present in normal interior and exterior environments and will withstand repeated washing. Not suitable for use on immersed surfaces.
|
THEORECTICAL COVERAGE
|
A guide to the theoretical coverage which can be achieved under normal conditions is 15m²/litre.

PRE - APPLICATION
|
SURFACE PREPARATION
|
Surfaces generally must be clean, dry, free from all defective or poorly adhering material, dirt, grease, wax etc. Previously painted surfaces should be thoroughly rubbed down using a suitable abrasive paper and then dusted off.
Steel surfaces should be manually prepared by power or hand tool to BS 7079 Part A1:1989 St3.
For optimum performance new galvanized and aluminium surfaces should be cleaned and degreased, then pre-treated with A931 - 10420 Galvprime to ensure good adhesion.
