There are reactions between the elements, and also the colours when they interact. Some will be complimentary (supporting) while others will be contrasting. The key is to achieve harmony.

The ICI Dulux - Feng Shui Colours of Harmony is designed to help you discover colours that work best in attracting the right Feng Shui into your home and office. This will enable you to achieve harmony and to enhance your living and working environment.
In Feng Shui, there are the 3 basic steps in choosing colours:
Step 1: Identification
Identification is a process of determining a person's gua based on your year of birth. With your gua, you can relate to the element and hence, the innate colour. You can identify your gua by referring to the gua table in the following pages.
Step 2: Selection
Only after knowing a person's identity (by Gua), you are able to decide what is your best sectors. During the selection step, you have to select the best entrance to a space, which is the main door. To know where the door's location or sector of the house, one has to use a compass. Hold or place the compass at the centre of the house and read the door's location or sector, in relation to the centre of the house/space. (Ref diagram 1) The door's energy will contribute to enhancing your life's aspiration such as Harmony, Wealth, Health or Advancement.

Step 3: Matching
Once you have completed your selection, you can then match the corresponding colours. As in Feng Shui perspective, we observed 2 simple rules. 1) The bread earner male subject of the family will take the exterior of the house and 2) the female subject will take the entire interior.
Please remember that it is through harmony that one can attain other achievements.
In the following pages, we are pleased to present colour selection and colour-matching examples by respective gua, designed to help you achieved your desired Feng Shui colour schemes. Please note that these schemes are derived in accordance to the colour principles outlined.
